The Kettle Crest--this is an excellent network of singletrack trails close to Grand Forks but in the good old U.S.A . This trail system consists of over 90 miles of single track ,dozens of peaks and open flower filled alpine meadows . These trails are used extensively by Horseman and Hikers so stay in control and best manners etc. The main Kettle Crest Trail #13 is 30 miles long . The trail extends from Boulder-Deer Creek summit,Road #61 on the north end to Sherman Pass Hwy.#20 on the south.

time--6-8 hours , rating--hard

-trail #13 can be done from either Boulder pass or Sherman Pass

-from Boulder--drive to Curlew,Washington.Turn left at Curlew,cross the bridge and follow Road #61 to the pass.

-park at the Trailhead parking area on the right.

-stay on the trail #13 to Sherman pass

-from Sherman--drive Republic,Washington,turn left on Hwy.20

-follow Hwy.20 to the trailhead at Sherman pass

-turn left at the pass and drive into the trailhead and park

-ride back up the road about 100 yards and look for the trail on the right

-follow trail #13 to Boulder summit

this could possibly be the best 30 miles of mountain bike trails you have ever ridden .

Trail #13 requires a shuttle.
