Spooner Creek--time-2 hours , rating-moderate

This ride starts off on gravel forestry road for the up and the down is nothing but excellent single track.This ride can be done with or without a shuttle,depending on the amount of pavement you wish to ride.

-drive east from Grand Forks on Hwy 3 for about 12 miles , turn left off Hwy onto Stewart Creek road.

-park at pull off about 1km on Stewart Creek road

-ride up Stewart Creek to just pass the 9 km marker , look for pink ribbons and a trail on the right(this is what makes all that gravel road worthwhile)

-2000 feet of down to Christina Lake

If you don't have shuttle,then turn right on East Lake Drive and ride back to Hwy 3.Turn right and ride up the hill out of Christina Lake to Stewart Creek road,turn right and up to the Starting point.

Spooner Creek-the long way--requires a shuttle--time-3-4 hours , rating-hard

-ride from Grand Forks up Papa Harpold trail

-when the trail crosses Overton Road,continue up the road

-follow Overton road until Sand Creek road,go right on Sand Creek

-take the left spur at the beginning of a log block and head towards the top of the logged area

-look for the old road heading up and into the timber

-follow this road up,a good,steady climb into a pass

-take the next right which should lead down to Stewart Creek road at about 14 km marker

-ride down Stewart Creek to about 9 km,look for a trail and pink ribbons on the left
